Jami and his crew did an excellent job. From the planning and drawing phase all the way through to the install. Fantastic crew! Answered all our questions, showed up on time, completed the project on time and on budget. This is the second time that we have hired Walden Design. Always great and easy to work with.

The level of detail in the design was amazing, the plant selection was perfect and the team that did it was courteous, professional and wonderful to work with. If looking for landscaping/outdoor work, Jami Kibbe and his crew at Walden Design does an absolutely OUTSTANDING job! They did our shed foundation, stone steps/hardscape, and our new, EGLE-approved, rock seawall. They were easy to work with, trustworthy, friendly, dependable, thorough, and did top quality work. What a great design well executed. My yard was quite swampy, and difficult to maintain. The beautiful stone retaining walls, drainage and beautiful new sod has made my yard Beautiful. From some small projects, like removing a flower bed, to larger projects like the new drainage system for our backyard, Jami and Troy made sure it was well done, timely and competitively priced (they even had to repair work done by other landscapers). My wife loved the seasonal flowers put in after the spring cleanups.

It was a pleasure to work with Walden Design! We purchased a shed which required a foundation/pad be put down first. Walden Design was recommended, however, as we live in Byron Center, we tried a local landscaper first. That was a waste of time as the estimate was WAY WAY over what was required. From my initial contact with Walden Design, I was pleased and encouraged. EVERYONE I spoke with was kind and knowledgeable. This includes the person who took my initial call, to the person who scoped out the project to the men that leveled the ground and poured the crushed concrete. So even though we had to pay additional for mileage being more than 10 miles away, it was so worthwhile. I highly recommend Walden Design.

Sam and crew were very professional and paid close attention to detail on our job. They were very considerate of being "neat" and communicated throughout the week-long job on progress and next steps. The follow up was excellent and made sure we had an excellent customer experience! Highly recommend Walden Design for your backyard project!

This is the second project Walden has done for us. This time they replaced a wooden deck with composite from the ground up. Turned out beautifully. Ran into several issues that were taken care of promptly and professionally by project manager Troy. Quality work and excellent workers, Eddie and Isaac! Would definitely use them again for other projects.

For the past several years Walden Design has installed mulch in all of our flower gardens. What a time saver! In the old days it would take my wife & I all weekend to make several trips to the nursery to buy mulch and then head home to spread it. Having Walden Design do it is so much more efficient plus the quality of the mulch is better than what I used in prior years. This morning Sam, Brennen & Kati arrived and had all 5 yards of mulch installed. It looks great! I think this may have been either the 4th or 5th time we’ve used them. Highly recommend. 😊

Walden Design recently completed a landscaping project in our back yard to help create more level space and install a sizable brick retaining wall with stone stairs and pathway. We are 100% satisfied with the process from start to finish. We brought in several landscaping contractors for design consultations and pricing quotes, and Jami was, by far, the one we felt was the most engaging, and who my wife and I felt most comfortable with. He understood our vision and offered suggestions we found helpful, but not pushy. His estimated schedule was on track and when Troy and his team got started, they got right to work, completing the project in the time predicted and doing a really incredible job. Jami, Troy, Isaac, and the rest of Walden Design's staff are all very friendly, courteous, and hard working with great attention to detail and client vision. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Before signing on with Walden Design, we had been working with a Landscape Design company who ghosted us. After meeting with Walden Design, we were assured that there was space on their calendar and a crew to get the job done. We are all about communication and Walden Design always kept us up-to-date throughout the process of our project. We even added a few change orders and the crew was able to come through. Our fall project was huge and is complete - and fantastic. We now look forward to some additional work, which we've requested, in the spring. We love this company and would recommend them to the world.Update for 2022: Walden Design got back in contact with us and completed our landscape work. They are fantastic and finished in time for our family reunion.

I would highly recommend Walden Design! We worked with them on an outdoor patio and the surrounding landscaping. I LOVE IT!! The staff is very professional and did an amazing job on the design and build! The workers were respectful and always cleaned up at the end of the day. They also coordinated very well with our builder to figure out a tricky transition from our deck to the patio. We will hire them again for any future projects.
